The Elements

Okay, so I have had an idea for a book forever, and I would like to give you all a teaser.

Prologue:
I am writing this because I need to tell someone. I need to tell you, I need to tell the country, I need to tell the world. You may not believe me. You may think its impossible. But its not. This is the truth, pure and wholesome. This is what goes on in the world everyday. This is the story of the Elements.

Part 1 of Chapter 1:
That day was pretty much a normal day. Wake up, have breakfast, go to school, get bullied, have lunch, get bullied, then leave. Walking home was always a chore, considering I lived 3 kilometers away from school. But I didn't mind. I would withdraw into my mind, think about my future. I was thinking about writing my own book that day, a book about Junior High. I thought as I walked, walked as I thought. I was so engrossed in my mind that at first, I didnt notice the sewer lids. But then, they exploded in my face. Literally. The sewer lids on the entire block blew their tops and spewed water 20 feet into the air. I watched in awe, as the water piled up on the street. Then, the men started running out of the water.

Grrr. I hate cliffies

Okay, wait is over, here is part two of Chapter 1.

I almost fainted. This was definitely the wierdest thing I have ever seen. About 10 grown men running out of not just through, they literally formed from the water of the sewer, running out of the water right towards me. I muffled a scream and stumbled backward. The men continued racing towards me, and it looked like there was water tumbling from their bodies as they ran. I gathered my bearings and started to run in the opposite direction. They were almost on me. They were gaining on me. I turned a block and came face to face with another 10 men. They blocked my way and lunged at me. I screamed. Then, I did something that astonished me even more than men running out of sewage geysers. I exploded in a blinding yellow light, creating a shock wave that blew right through these men, severing them in half. As the two halves of each man fell, they turned to water, and evaporated much too quickly. I didn't have time to dwell on it though, because my vision was going black and my knees were going weak. I hit the ground thinking, "This had better be a dream."
